Upholstery is where Curt does his best work — seats stripped back, sound foam kept, new marine vinyl stitched to fit. The canvas runs the same way: every panel measured and patterned on the boat itself, which is why it fits when it goes back on.

Often the foam is fine
Recovering a cushion is usually less work than people expect. The cover comes off, the foam underneath gets checked, and what is still sound stays — which is most of the saving on the job.
- Often the foam is fineVinyl is what sits in the sun, so vinyl is what fails. If the foam under it is still firm and dry, it gets cleaned up and reused — you pay for material and labour, not for foam you did not need.
- Replaced when it is goneFoam that has gone flat, crumbles at the edge or holds water after rain is past saving, and a new cover over it would fail early. That one gets cut fresh to the seat.
- Sometimes it is smaller than thatA split seam, a blown zipper or one panel of a bench can often be repaired on its own. Curt will tell you which of the three you are looking at before he starts.
